What's the story?Becky Lynch has certainly brought new eyeballs to women's wrestling in recent times. But she has dubbed herself 'the man', while she's been on this red-hot streak.Awe... this whole #TheMan thing is so cute in the age of #womensempowerment Boo. I’m for 1 am proud to be #TheWOMAN because after all we’ve always been the dominant sex! Or have you forgotten that @BeckyLynchWWE hanging out w/your new bestie lil’ Richard. See you at the rumble!😘 https://t.co/6hiIxorsyG— Mickie James~Aldis (@MickieJames) January 21, 2019Mickie James took exception to this fact and called Lynch out for not doing anything to empower women. As one would expect, Becky Lynch had a scathing response to her.In case you didn't know...Becky Lynch and Mickie James are on different brands at this point in time. James was involved in the La Luchadora storyline once upon a time with Lynch and Alexa Bliss.Lynch has become the most 'over' superstar in the roster thanks to her recent heel turn and the unwillingness of fans to turn on her. Lynch now exists in a strange place between babyface and heel territory, with comparisons being made to Stone Cold Steve Austin by fans.John Cena returned to the company to put Lynch over on the New Year edition of SmackDown Live. The heart of the matterWe all saw what Mickie James had to say about Lynch in the previous Tweet. Lynch is known for being savage on Twitter and alluded to the fact that James had used the top guy to get over during her WWE career. This could be about her feud with Trish Stratus. It is more likely about her brief relationship with John Cena. Not the first time she’s come after the top star to further her career. https://t.co/bYpok4GLcV— The Man (@BeckyLynchWWE) January 21, 2019Not surprisingly all of Twitter lost their minds following this reply. Here is a glimpse of some of the responses that she received:OH MY GOD! pic.twitter.com/dLou7IldkN— Indrajeet Deshpande (@IndrajeetAD) January 22, 2019 pic.twitter.com/NVWmztnErH— Art Vandelay (@GodDam_Hawkeyes) January 21, 2019Mickie James did not seem too put off by the response and had this to say:Sorry. It took me a minute to stop laughing. Seriously, all this build up?! All this anticipation... For that?! Wow! What a let down. How dissatisfying?! You know what, you’re right babe. You are #TheMan https://t.co/LJibvHJOTz— Mickie James~Aldis (@MickieJames) January 21, 2019What's next? It's unlikely that we'll see these two superstars clash. Maybe when they are on the same brand again, they probably will.
