Could Big Cass hold the top prize in Wrestling soon?
Could Big Cass hold the top prize on Brand RAW soon?

What's the story?

Big Cass caught up with Ringside Collectibles recently to discuss a wide variety of topics. We thank Wrestling Inc. for the transcript of the highly engrossing interview.

What particularly caught our attention during the interview was the fact that Big Cass was gunning for the top prize on RAW, upon his big return to the company. He also weighed in on why people did not care for his best friend and former tag team partner, Enzo Amore.

In case you didn't know...

Big Cass recently suffered an ACL tear which ruled him out of action for many months, despite the fact that he was receiving a major singles push when the said injury happened. The big man is recovering and has big plans for his return to action, very soon indeed.

The heart of the matter

Long before he suffered the injury that put him on the shelf, Big Cass competed in a Fatal 4-Way match for the vacant Universal Championship, following Finn Balor's injury and subsequent surrender of the title.

Cass said that he was gunning for the belt, upon his big return:

There's a lot left for me to prove. I do want to win the Universal Championship but I do feel like I did show that I could hang with the big boys, so when I come back that's what I'm looking to do

Cass also commented on why few in the locker room like Enzo Amore:

I mean, you'd have to ask a lot of people their opinions on that, but I'll just say it's because he's Enzo. That's why.

The answer says a lot, without saying anything at all.

What's next?

Big Cass should be due for a return in a few months. When he does, we're certain he's due for a big push. He's got the look and the physique.

Author's take

Big Cass is not ready to be the Universal Champion just about yet. However, I see him becoming one, in due time. He's got the classic big guy look and attitude that WWE seems to love.
