WWE News: Big NXT star set for 205 Live debut very soon

TH
The future is now

What's the story?

NXT is a place to groom the next generation of WWE Superstars. They are taught the finer points of everything from social media interaction to finding the hard camera during an entrance. Hideo Itami has been in NXT for a while now and was one of the first top names signed from the world's indie promotions to WWE's developmental territory.

Now there is even more exciting information on Itami's eventual main roster call up as PW Insider reports the man formally known as Kenta is expected to make a 205 Live debut very soon.

In case you didn't know...

Some people take longer than others to make it to the main roster and often times it isn't the wrestler's fault either because any number of things can get in the way that are out of anybody's control like injuries.

Hideo Itami suffered a couple awfully-timed injuries in a row but at least he got some cool scars out of the surgeries.

The heart of the matter

Fans have wanted to see Hideo Itami on the WWE main roster since even before signing to NXT. He's stiff, serious, and can work a match like nobody's business.

His brutal kick is actually the reason why Daniel Bryan has so much trouble hearing because a well-placed strike to the side of The Bearded GOAT's head during an ROH match in 2007 left him partially deaf with a busted eardrum.

PW Insider is reporting there is a lot of talk about bringing Hideo Itami up to the main roster very soon as part of the 205 Live show. Itami's debut on WWE's Cruiserweight-centric show would be a huge boost to the talent pool for sure which they could really use at this point.

What's next?

Hopefully, Hideo Itami can wrestle the rest of his WWE career without any more injuries. It would be amazing to watch him climb to the top of 205 Live's roster and become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion soon enough.

But to be honest, it would just be great to see a GTS executed on the main roster once again.

Author's take

Hideo Itami's skill and veteran ability will be an amazing boost to the Cruiserweight roster. In time, he could become one of the most popular members of the 205 Live roster.

Let's just hope Itami can stay healthy so he can grab a few brass rings in WWE before all is said and done.
