What's the story?

At the age of 46, The Big Show can certainly be dubbed a WWE legend. Having been a mainstay of the company right since the Attitude Era, he seemed to be wrestling better than ever during his last run.

Rumours recently surfaced about his retirement, after a bunch of publications published a story from old interviews of the Superstar. The Big Show addressed his retirement through social media indicating that he was not yet done with wrestling.

In case you didn't know...

The Big Show found renewed momentum recently, especially during his series of matches with Braun Strowman. While he was often greeted with chants of 'please retire' in the past, during his latest run he was privy to 'this is awesome' chants.

Unfortunately, The Big Show had to take some time off towards the end of 2017 to undergo surgery. He's been seen training for a return in many social media posts, ever since then.

The heart of the matter

According to Wrestling Inc., The Sun and The Mirror mistook a few of Big Show's old quotes and published incorrect news reports about his retirement. The truth is that since that interview was out, The Big Show had signed a new deal that expired last month.

While we do not know the current status of the giant right now, The Big Show has gone on record to say that he's not done with the company. He's wrestling better than ever before and pulling out moves that he's not performed since his WCW run.

What's next?

The Big Show did reveal in an interview not long ago, that he would like to be in the ring by WrestleMania 34. While we do not know if this is the case at the moment, it would be cool to see him back. Maybe in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal?

Author's take

The Big Show could be an invaluable addition to the current roster. He could work with a lot of the younger guys, who could all benefit from his experience.

Who wouldn't want to see yet another Big Show vs. Braun Strowman contest?
