What's the story?

Ronda Rousey has become the talk of the professional wrestling world of late, by becoming a part of the WWE roster. Big Show weighed in on her impact in the company, and believes its a wonderful opportunity.

We bring you his opinion on Rousey from his interview with UPI. He also said he was proud of the Women's Division for being strong enough to attract the attention of Rousey.

In case you didn't know...

Following her WWE appearance at WrestleMania 31, Rousey shocked the world when she showed up at the Royal Rumble, and pointed at the WrestleMania 34 sign. She signed her official RAW contract at Elimination Chamber.

Rousey seems to be at odds with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon right now, with Kurt Angle as her firm ally. Rumours indicate that there will be a mixed tag match at WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

The Big Show seems to be fond of Ronda Rousey and her attitude. This is what he had to say about her:

"You can tell she's excited about our business and what we do and that's before I even knew she was coming on board. When she was coming in to do the whole thing, she was somebody that was already at that stage."

The veteran was also full of praise for the Women's Division, and how strong it is right now:

"It's going to raise the bar a little bit in our women's division. Our women's division is the strongest it has ever been. It's so strong, it has actually attracted the talent like Ronda Rousey to want to come and be a part of it....I think it's absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see what she does in the ring."

What's next?

WWE is building up towards a big WrestleMania match for Rousey, at the moment. We're certain that she will be the key focus on brand RAW, going forward. The coming weeks should be quite interesting, in many ways.

Author's take

I'm sure the validation from The Big Show means a lot to Ronda Rousey. She respects WWE and all the performers, and must have a great deal of admiration for a veteran like him.

I can't wait for The Big Show to return as well, for a future program.
