WWE RAW's season premiere featured Seth Rollins putting his WWE Universal Championship on the line against Rusev in the main event. The match came to an undecided conclusion when Bobby Lashley made his much-awaited return and Rusev's wife Lana showed up alongside him.
Not only The Bulgarian Brute but the entire WWE Universe was disturbed to witness a shocking change in Lana's behavior when she indulged herself in a compromising scene with The Almighty.
RAW's main event
Earlier, Seth Rollins was supposed to face Rey Mysterio with his WWE Universal Championship on the line. However, an attack by Brock Lesnar on Mysterio and his son Dominick forced a change of the plans.
Rusev, who had come to the aid of Seth Rollins against Randy Orton and Baron Corbin, demanded The Architect to pay back the debt with a WWE Universal Championship match. The two squared off against each other in the main event of RAW's season premiere but as everyone witnessed, a proper winner couldn't be decided.
The return of Bobby Lashley
Bobby Lashley was on a hiatus since WWE Extreme Rules where he faced Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing match. Although the fans were expecting to see him back on their screens, Lashley surely shocked the viewers with the way he made his return tonight.
On the other hand, when Rusev came back to WWE post-Clash of Champions, his wife Lana was nowhere to be seen. Even in tonight's show, the announcers pointed out how The Ravishing Russian was missing from Rusev's corner in the past few weeks.
Adding to this, The Bulgarian Brute appeared to be the father of Maria Kanellis's unborn child upon his return. Although Maria cleared the air on this situation, Lana's absence raised several questions regarding her relationship with Rusev.
Lana's eventual return with Bobby Lashley was not just bizarre but an add on to the already complicated marriage life of her and Rusev.
