What's the story?

Bobby Lashley is set to appear in his first WWE pay-per-view this Sunday, at WWE Backlash, since his return to the company. His first pay-per-view matchup since returning to the company was announced on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw.

WWE made the announcement that Lashley will team up with Braun Strowman to take on the team of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

In case you didn't know...

Since his return to WWE, Lashley has taken part in multi-man tag team matches. On the night of his return, he attacked Elias, interrupting his performance.

From the next episode of Monday Night Raw, he took part in tag team matches, always on the same team as Braun Strowman and facing Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

On this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, in Montreal, he teamed with Strowman and Roman Reigns to face Owens, Zayn and Jinder Mahal. Strowman was able to pick up the critical pinfall victory.

The heart of the matter

WWE announced on Twitter that the team of Braun Strowman and freshly returned Bobby Lashley will face off against team of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have faced Strowman and Lashley multiple times over the past few weeks in Tag Team Matches.

What's next?

The WWE Backlash pay-per-view will be on this Sunday, 6th May, from the Prudential Center in New Jersey, USA.

Author's take

It will be interesting to see the chemistry between Strowman and Lashley, as Owens and Zayn are used to teaming with each other.

Neither man is currently involved in a storyline, and this may be WWE's way of setting up a rivalry between them. Then again, this may just be the beginning of a great tag team.
