In case you didn’t know…

Hulk Hogan is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.

However, Hogan was separated from the WWE a few years back after audio from a video of him mouthing racial slurs emerged.

The heart of the matter

Braun Strowman competed against Kane at the WWE’s December 26th RAW-branded live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

Strowman earned the victory by way of disqualification and is said to have received a great ovation from the fans in attendance. Furthermore, the crowd popped big time upon seeing the Monster Among Men break out Hulk Hogan’s signature ‘ear cup’ gesture.

In fact, Strowman also tore his t-shirt off much like Hogan always does; again, receiving a huge round of cheers from the MSG crowd.

What’s next?

Braun Strowman vs. Kane vs. Brock Lesnar serves as the official WWE Universal Championship Match for the WWE’s upcoming Royal Rumble event which will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 28th.

Meanwhile, despite Hulk Hogan still being distanced entirely from the WWE, several industry experts including veteran WWE commentator Jim Ross have opined that the former WWE Champion may return to the WWE soon.

Author’s take

It’s hilarious seeing a monster such as Braun Strowman mimic a true American hero such as Hulk Hogan.

Regardless, despite the controversies Hogan has been involved in over the years, the fans have been clamouring for him to return to professional wrestling. Perhaps one of the WWE’s top current Superstars, Strowman imitating the Hulkster is a sign of things to come in 2018.
