What's the story?

It hasn't been a good week for Braun Strowman in the WWE. The Monster Among Men was to feature in a match against Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at Royal Rumble, but after he destroyed WWE Chairman Vince McMahon's car, he was removed from the match.

In an interview with app.com, Strowman revealed how he felt about being replaced in the match, as well the plans he had in place for Rumble.

In case you didn't know...

On RAW, Strowman, who was chasing Baron Corbin backstage, was told that the former RAW Acting GM was hiding in a car. Strowman ripped the door of the car in anger, which happened to be Vince McMahon's car, and the boss wasn't pleased about Strowman's actions, which resulted in him being removed from his match against Lesnar.

Finn Balor won a fatal four-way match against Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and John Cena, and he will now face Lesnar at Rumble.

The heart of the matter

In the interview, Strowman spoke about how it has been tough to accept that he won't face Lesnar at Rumble, but vowed to work hard and try to reach the top.

"It's a pretty hard pill to swallow right here right now, but at the same time, I'm going to use it for fuel to the fire to continue to push the monster train along. Nothing's going to stop me from reaching the top of this mountain," said Strowman.

He also revealed the plans he had in place to feature in the Royal Rumble match at the PPV: "I'm going to do my best to get into the 30-man Royal Rumble (match). Right now I know I'm not in the good graces with the boss right now with destroying his limo and stuff like that. So I might have to go in there the old fashioned way, how Braun Strowman has always got what he wanted, and do a little heavy persuading."

What's next?

WWE haven't announced yet if Strowman will be a part of the 30-man Royal Rumble match.
