WWE News: Braun Strowman sends Kurt Angle a message ahead of their TLC match

Br
Braun Strowman and Kurt Angle have crossed paths many times on Raw, but Sunday will be different...

What's the story?

The WWE dropped a major bombshell on Friday afternoon when they announced Kurt Angle would wrestle in a WWE ring for the first time in over 11 years when he replaces the ill Roman Reigns.

Angle will join Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose to take on The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman, and Kane in a 5-on-3 handicap match.

Last night, Braun Strowman posted an ominous video message to Angle on Twitter. Check out his post below:

In case you didn't know...

Before signing with the WWE, Strowman was a professional Strongman competitor. He has seven titles on his resume including the 2012 Arnold Amateur Strongman Championships winner.

The heart of the matter

Strowman's message was short and not so sweet.

“Kurt Angle it’s been 11 years since you stepped foot inside a WWE ring. This Sunday at TLC, I promise you... you’ll wish you never step foot in a WWE ring again.”

As the General Manager of Monday Night Raw, Angle has butted heads with Strowman in the past. The Monster Among Men is always looking for competition and doesn't always get what he wants.

Now Strowman will get competition in the form of a member of the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class. You can probably expect a moment in the match where both Angle and Strowman are in the match and stare each other down.

The crowd in Minneapolis is going to pop loudly for that moment.

What's next?

Tables Ladders & Chairs is just a little over 24 hours away live on the WWE Network. The event takes place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota and will also feature the main roster debut of Asuka when she takes on Emma.

In addition to Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt will have to miss TLC due to illness, and in his place will be SmackDown Live's AJ Styles to take on Finn Balor in a match that could steal the show.

Author's take

When Angle's music hits on Sunday, it will be one of the most amazing moments in the WWE this year. Angle proved in his matches with Cody Rhodes earlier this year that he can still go in the ring, and you should expect nothing less in Sunday's main event.

While I doubt Angle can get the 380-pound Strowman up for the Angle Slam, I think it would be a great visual if he slapped the Angle Lock on him.

Another match-up in this 5-on-3 handicap match I can't wait to see if Angle taking on Cesaro. It will definitely be a fun night tomorrow.
