After months of build-up and immense anticipation, the WWE Universe around the globe has finally witnessed the winner of the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble match, as ‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman made history by outlasting 49 other men to win the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
During the 50-man Royal Rumble match, we witnessed several returns of former WWE World Champions and veterans and also, got a chance to get a closer look at several NXT superstars who entered the match as surprise entrants.
As noted, the likes of The Great Khali, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, and Hornswoggle of all people made their return during the match, whereas, on the other hand, NXT superstars Roderick Strong, Dan Matha, Babatunde, and Tucker Knight made their official main roster debut as well.
However, despite all the amazing bits of action, one of the most notable performances of the evening was put up by the recently cleared Daniel Bryan, who lasted a total of 1 hour and 16 minutes breaking Rey Mysterio’s previously held record of 1 hour and 2 minutes.
But, regardless of his amazing showing in Jeddah earlier today, Bryan was eventually eliminated third last from the match by his newest adversary Big Cass, who was one of the last two men to survive in the Rumble match before being ultimately eliminated by eventual winner Braun Strowman who broke the record for most eliminations in a Royal Rumble Match with 13 eliminations (previously held by Roman Reigns).
After his historic win at the King Abdullah International Stadium, Strowman was also awarded a mesmerizing trophy and a beautiful looking championship belt as well.
