WWE News: Brock Lesnar booked in massive Champion vs. Champion match

The match truly is a clash of champions!
The match truly is a clash of champions!

What's the story?

Believe it or not, Brock Lesnar has a busy schedule on the road to WrestleMania. He will be part of 4 live events, heading into the grandest show of all.

One of the shows pits him, The Universal Champion, against the Intercontinental Champion, The Miz. Lesnar takes on The Miz at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

In case you didn't know...

Even though Brock Lesnar holds the top prize, perhaps in all of WWE, he is a part-time champion. His appearances on TV are few and far between, and he only wrestles on pay-per-view.

The Miz, on the other hand, has been a fighting Champion, elevating the Intercontinental Championship to the next level. He is one of the most integral figures on RAW, and despite being a heel, often gets a babyface reaction from the WWE Universe.

The heart of the matter

Lesnar has previously been booked in a Champion vs. Champion match, when he took on AJ Styles at Survivor Series last year. The two men had a fantastic clash, and Lesnar defeated Styles to prove that he was the more dominant of the two.

Lesnar is set to compete a sum total of four times in March. Unfortunately, all of his matches are at WWE Live Events.

In addition to the match against The Miz, he's also scheduled to face Kane at the United Center in Chicago on March 3rd and face both Braun Strowman and Kane March 16th at the Madison Square Garden.

Days before WrestleMania 34, he will also compete at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 30, but his opponent is yet unknown.

What's next?

Lesnar is set to compete against the winner of the Elimination Chamber match. One of the participants is The Miz. Things should get very interesting.

Author's take

The Miz is going to Suplex City. So are Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

Yeah, that's pretty much my take on the whole matter. There's no way there'll be a competitive match between these two men. We wonder if The Miz will get any offence in, at all.
