WWE News: Bruce Prichard reveals when the WWE first spotted Roman Reigns

H's been
Roman Reigns was a star before he even knew it

What's the story?

Roman Reigns has been earmarked as a big name in WWE for quite a while now but Bruce Prichard recently revealed on "Something To Wrestle With" that it turns out the WWE had been paying attention to "The Big Dog" way longer than most would think.

In case you didn't know...

Roman Reigns is a member of the famous Anoa'i wrestling family. His Samoan lineage has been a crux of his success and helped him stand above the rest on many occasions.

Just the fact he's The Rock's cousin has done him some major favours in the eyes of management but it might not have helped much in the way fans view him.

The heart of the matter

On a recent episode of Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard, the former Brother Love opened up about Roman Reigns and just how long he's really been on WWE's radar.

"I remember Roman Reigns when Roman was playing high school football. And they would send us pictures, it's Sika's son. And it would be like, 'hey this kid got named All-American, he's gonna be one to watch!' And of course Jim Ross, 'g*ddamn he plays football, gotta love him.' And so we've followed his career since the time he was in high school."

What's next?

Roman Reigns is currently where he needs to be. He's wrestling in WWE at a top level and he intends to keep it that way for a very long time.

WWE still sees big things in Reigns and it's interesting to know exactly how long they've had their eye on the Big Dog.

Author's take

It will only be a matter of time before Roman Reigns is handed all of the keys to Vince McMahon's kingdom. He has the tools to succeed in the business, and his pedigree is rich.

It only made sense that Roman Reigns wound up where he did and WWE wouldn't have had it any other way.
