What’s the story?
Mae Young Classic contestant and wife of NXT superstar Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae took it to her official Twitter handle earlier today and reacted to the news of her signing with the world’s biggest wrestling promotion, that is, the WWE.
In case you didn’t know…
Over the past few weeks, there have been a lot of speculations that have suggested that WWE was all set to sign one of the best female wrestlers on the planet, former PWG Tag Team Champion Candice LeRae.
LeRae, who is one half of the World’s Cutest Tag Team along with Joey Ryan, first wrestled under the WWE banner back in 2017 as part of the inaugural Mae Young Classic tournament. In the past, Candice has also wrestled a few times for WWE’s developmental territory of NXT.
LeRae, 32, is a former AWS Women’s Champion, FWE Women’s Champion, and has also won several tag team titles on the Indy scene along with her tag team partner Joey Ryan. In 2016, Candice has also held the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship.
The heart of the matter
Along with the signing of War Machine and Ricochet, WWE has now also confirmed the signing of top Independent wrestler Candice LeRae who is all set to join the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. LeRae, however, is no stranger to the WWE Universe as she has previously made her mark on the WWE fans, thanks to her tremendous performances against the likes Renee Michelle and Nicole Savoy during the MYC tournament.
Earlier today, Candice also reacted to the news of her signing with the WWE as she took it to her official Twitter handle and wrote that dreams are always bound to come true if we wish hard enough. Additionally, LeRae also inscribed that we can achieve anything in life if we decide to sacrifice everything else for it.
Candice now joins her husband Johnny Gargano on the WWE NXT roster as Mrs. Gargano prepares to start training under the WWE PC down in Orlando. LeRae now joins the likes of War Machine and Ricochet, who were also signed on the very same day as Candice.
Candice LeRae is by far the most hard-hitting, brutal, and one of the standout performers during her time in the Indies. The former FSP Tag Team Champion will look to make her impact on the NXT Women’s Division and capture the NXT Women’s Title.
