What’s the story?

In response to a Tweet by SBNation, Chrissy Teigen revealed that she never had more fun than at Wrestlemania 24, years ago but had to leave midway for some reason.

Apparently, Stephanie McMahon got wind of the same, and invited Teigen to Wrestlemania 34--

Needless to say, Teigen seems excited after receiving an official invitation from Stephanie McMahon.

In case you didn’t know…

Chrissy Teigen is a popular American model and actress, who was recently in the news for her ‘never-ending’ flight trip alongside husband—Oscar & Grammy award-winning musician John Legend.

Teigen and Legend recently boarded a flight from Los Angeles to Tokyo—a flight that was diverted all the way back to LA after two brothers reportedly boarded the plane to Tokyo on one pass. The entire incident is now receiving considerable mainstream attention in the US.

The heart of the matter

Chrissy Teigen is an ardent WWE fan and asserted that she attended Wrestlemania 24 in 2008, but despite not wanting to leave while the event was underway, she was forced to leave early. Teigen added that she’s still mad about it.

WWE authority figure Stephanie McMahon took note of the same; adding that she’s sorry that Teigen had to leave early, besides also extending an official invitation to the model for Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans.

Stephanie jested that this time Triple H and the whole WWE locker room will make sure that no one forces her to leave early during ‘Mania. Furthermore, SBNation asked whether Teigen would like to attend Wrestlemania and write about the event for them in response to which Teigen concurred.

What’s next?

The WWE’s biggest annual PPV extravaganza Wrestlemania 34 goes down at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 8th, 2018.

Author’s take

Chrissy Teigen has a great fan-following in the States, however, when it comes to the Mecca of sports & entertainment, seldom does it get bigger than the WWE.

It’s awesome to see Stephanie McMahon fulfill Teigen’s dream of attending Wrestlemania again. Hopefully, she gets to witness the entire show unfold in person this time around. This entire interaction just goes to further solidify the fact that the WWE has helped the entire world of professional wrestling truly break through into the mainstream media.
