What's the story?

Current SmackDown Live Women's Champion Charlotte Flair recently spoke to Brian Fritz of SportingNews.com where she discussed the speciality of top MMA fighter Ronda Rousey and also decided to send her a message.

In case you didn't know...

Throughout 2017 there have been several reports that have suggested that the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey could potentially jump ship from the sport of MMA to Sports Entertainment and might sign with the WWE.

Rousey has been spotted at many WWE events throughout this year, including several appearances during the Mae Young Classic and has also been seen backstage at NXT Live events.

The heart of the matter

While speaking with Brian Fritz, Charlotte Flair decided to give her thoughts regarding Ronda Rousey possibly becoming a part of the WWE roster and what makes her a standout performer compared to other female stars.

Flair stated that the exciting part about Rousey signing with WWE is that she is going to attract a lot more eyes towards the WWE women's division. The SmackDown Live Women's Champion then said that Rousey is definitely a big attraction for the WWE and her buzz is going to put the women's division on a higher level, which Flair is all for.

The former UFC Champion will be a crossover star in the world of wrestling and Rousey signing with WWE goes on to reflect how far the women in WWE have come, Charlotte Flair said.

Flair then decided to send a message to Ronda Rousey:

"My message to Ronda would be she knows where to find me. I'm on SmackDown Live every Tuesday.", Flair added.

What's next?

Recent speculations have suggested that Ronda Rousey could possibly make her WWE debut in early 2018, as part of the women's Royal Rumble match.

As for Charlotte, her goal will be to remain the SmackDown Live Women's Champion for as long as possible. The 31-year-old would love to walk into WrestleMania 34 as the women's champion of the blue brand.

Author's take

I think it is just a matter of time before Ronda Rousey makes her WWE debut and a match against Charlotte Flair will definitely be a money match.
