WWE News: Charlotte Flair on the cusp of a historic achievement

Charlotte Flair is now one step closer to achieving this amazing feat!
Charlotte Flair is now one step closer to achieving her destiny

What's the story?

Charlotte Flair's big win in the SmackDown Live main event was significant in more ways than one. She's poised to become the first WWE woman to hold singles titles in RAW, SmackDown Live and NXT, as well.

Since the brand extension draft last year split the roster in two, no woman (or man) has achieved this distinction, thus far. We wonder if Charlotte Flair will be able to make history.

In case you didn't know...

Charlotte Flair first became NXT Women's Champion during her run in the brand in 2014, holding the championship for 258 days. She went on to the RAW brand, first winning the Divas Championship and then the rebranded Women's Championship, carrying the red brand on her shoulders, across multiple reigns.

Charlotte was drafted to SmackDown Live as part of the Superstar shake-up. Following her win in the main event this week, Charlotte could become the first person in history to hold championships in all three brands.

The heart of the matter

With the SmackDown Live Women's Championship picture revolving around Naomi and Natalya, Charlotte Flair had been kept away from the title picture, thus far. This week, she made her valiant return and triumphed in the main event of the night in a Fatal Four Way match.

She will go up against SmackDown Women's Champion at the following pay-per-view- 'Hell in a Cell', and have a chance to make women's wrestling history. It is interesting to note that while Alexa Bliss has been both RAW and SmackDown Women's Champion, she never held the championship in NXT.

What's next?

The following weeks will heat up the rivalry between Natalya and Charlotte Flair, heading into 'Hell in a Cell'. Do not forget that somewhere in the background, a woman named Carmella still holds a Money in the Bank briefcase.

Author's take

I think it's only a matter of time before Charlotte Flair wins the title and achieves this milestone. There is no woman more deserving of the accolade, in the entire RAW Women's Division.
