WWE News: Charlotte Flair takes a massive dig at Ronda Rousey, The Rock comments

Are these two women headed for a clash?
Are these two women headed for a clash?

What's the story?

Ronda Rousey has arrived in WWE, and the Women's Division is on high alert mode, right now. This did not stop the SmackDown Live Women's Champion from throwing shade at the MMA megastar on Twitter.

This Tweet garnered so much attention online, that even The Rock responded to it. Here's what he had to say to Charlotte Flair.

In case you didn't know...

Charlotte Flair was at ringside for the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match, that was eventually won by the Japanese superstar, Asuka. At the conclusion of the match, Ronda Rousey showed up and set media outlets buzzing worldwide.

What was notable about her appearance was the number of times Rousey pointed towards the WrestleMania 34 sign. It is clear that she will be a part of the show, although her opponents are currently unknown.

At the time of her appearance, Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were in the ring.

The heart of the matter

The speculation from the media at this time is that Ronda Rousey is not Charlotte Flair's WrestleMania 34 opponent. Instead, it's supposedly a Mixed Tag match, with Rousey teaming up with a male superstar to take on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

The fact remains that Charlotte Flair is definitely one of the contenders destined to face Ronda Rousey down the line, if the latter has been signed by the company full time. Flair may want to ruffle feathers with the Tweet, ahead of the future feud.

What's next?

Charlotte Flair is currently in a feud with the Riott Squad. As for Ronda Rousey, there's no sign of her on WWE programming, since her one newsworthy appearance. We wonder when she will show up next!

Author's take

I really want to see Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey. This will certainly be a much better match than the Mixed Tag WrestleMania contest that is being teased currently.

Maybe if this particular Tweet generates enough hype, WWE will book this match instead?
