Joan Marie Laurer, popularly known to WWE fans as Chyna, is one of the most memorable wrestlers from the Attitude Era. Her contributions to Women’s Wrestling especially is undeniable and she certainly deserved to be in Hall of Fame for it. Due to some unfortunate events, her relationship with WWE degraded further by time and at some point it looked as if it was irrepairable.

Chyna recently passed away in her home leaving a lot of wrestling fans in tears. Wrestlezone reports that the date for her memorial service has been announced. The service is scheduled to take place on June 22nd in Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center at 7:30 PM. Fans who wish to attend the service have been invited.

Chyna’s website has posted details on how to acquire the tickets for the memorial. There is also a fundraiser. The proceedings from the fundraiser will go to Chyna’s memorial expenses and her estate. The estate would eventually be donated for animal rescue and children’s educational groups. The full details of the event can be found here.

Chyna was true trailblazer in the women’s wrestling. She broke many barriers and even wrestled men on occasions and was the only woman to hold the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. May her soul Rest In Peace!
