WWE News: CM Punk claims that Vince McMahon is funding a lawsuit against him

Jojo
Vince McMahon and CM Punk locked in another battle?

In an interview with Ron Kruck for Inside MMA, CM Punk mentioned that Vince McMahon has been funding a lawsuit against him when he was asked about his former employer. It is no mystery that Vince has it out for Punk and there are quite a few instances where they showed their animosity publicly. One of the greatest instances of this being the time CM Punk delivered his ‘Pipe Bomb’, his tell-all speech about how he was disgusted with WWE and the way Vince ran it, live on TV, before his mic was muted from backstage.

Punk even received the papers for his resignation on his wedding day, which is believed to be a petty move by Vince and Triple H and not a coincidence. Vince and Triple H were both unhappy with CM Punk and his attitude towards WWE and even punk knew that regardless of his performance in the ring, he would never become the face of WWE due to the bosses not liking him. They were apparently looking for a reason fire him when Punk mentioned that he wanted to leave the company and allegedly the team at WWE didn’t contact him further till he received the documents on his wedding day.

In the interview with Inside MMA, CM Punk spoke about his upcoming MMA fight mentioning that he prepared up for whatever comes his way and that he has nothing to lose as of yet. When asked if his pro wrestling training helped with his MMA preparation, Punk mentioned that the basic idea is to ‘power through’ whatever match is on the schedule and give it his best, regardless of fighting style.

Kruck asked Punk if he has gotten any word from ex-UFC fighter and former WWE co-Superstar Brock Lesnar or former employer Vince McMahon to which Punk replied that Brock probably doesn’t have cell service where he lives before dropping the one line about the fact that it is very unlikely that Vince McMahon will call him, given that he is currently funding a lawsuit against him. This was the only time Vince was mentioned during the course of the interview and details are sketchy about the legal issues the two men are having at the moment.

CM Punk’s UFC is debut is approaching soon but many fans are still convinced WWE is the best fit for Punk. Keep an eye here for updates as the event approaches.
