What’s the story?

Earlier today, Ring of Honor World Champion Cody Rhodes was asked by a fan on Twitter to recruit WWE Superstar Zack Ryder to the Bullet Club. Rhodes proceeded to praise Ryder and express a great deal of confidence in his real-life friend.

In case you didn’t know…

WWE Superstar Zack Ryder and current Bullet Club member Cody Rhodes are close friends in real life. The two have worked with each other under the WWE banner on several occasions.

The heart of the matter

Cody Rhodes was earlier today was told by a fan on Twitter to recruit former WWE Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder to the Bullet Club The fan also added in his tweet that Ryder was very popular with the audience and was certain to fit in with the Bullet Club.

Rhodes responded to the fan by stating that Zack Ryder was an extremely hard worker who could also put on great in-ring performances. “The American Nightmare” added that the people who didn’t believe him could look at the changes in Ryder’s physique.

What’s next?

As for Zack Ryder, he currently finds himself in a tag team with Mojo Rawley on Smackdown Live. However, Ryder and Rawley’s partnership has been on the downside as they have been picking up major losses on TV in recent months.

On the other hand, Rhodes is heading in the opposite direction. The ROH World Champion has been constantly defending his world title against the likes of Minoru Suzuki, Sanada, Rocky Romero, and Kushida.

Rhodes is also one of the major players in the Bullet Club faction and will defend his title next against Dalton Castle at the ROH: Final Battle PPV, which takes place in December. If “The American Nightmare” can successfully defend his title at the Hammerstein Ballroom, he will go on and put his World Title on the line against Kota Ibushi at Wrestle Kingdom 12.

Author’s take

Personally, I agree with Cody Rhodes here, and I do believe that Zack Ryder is one of the most solid workers in WWE today. Being a Bullet Club fan, I would absolutely love to see Ryder sporting the black and white in the future.
