What's the story?

Corey Graves has taken to social media so as to reveal that a New Day member has followed up after throwing pancakes at the former.

Apparently, Big E not only threw pancakes at Graves, but also texted the latter to laugh about it. Fans can read Graves' Instagram post below:

In case you didn't know…

Corey Graves serves as a color commentator for both the RAW and SmackDown brands.

Having retired from the sport of professional wrestling as an active competitor, Graves has been lauded by both fans and critics alike for his successful transition from the squared circle to the commentators' desk.

The heart of the matter

Corey Graves was hit by pancakes thrown by SmackDown Live Superstar Big E during The New Day’s entrance on SmackDown’s most recent episode.

Following which, Big E later sent Graves a text, jesting about how "irate" the commentator looked after getting struck by the pancakes.

Furthermore, Graves suggested that this "beef" between him and Big E is far from over; alluding that he intends to pursue this on the next episode of SmackDown Live.

What's next?

The New Day presently compete in the SmackDown Live brand's Tag Team Division; and are busy in their pursuit of regaining the blue brand’s Tag Team gold which is now held by The Usos.

The next episode of SmackDown Live will take place at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama on January 9th.

Author's take

Honestly speaking, Corey Graves may very well be one of the greatest professional wrestling commentators today. He has the poise, eloquence and tenaciousness to bring any match or segment a sort of zing.

On the other hand, Big E's sense of humour never ceases to amaze. Speaking of which, here's hoping The New Day overcome their recent slump, to rise again to the top of the blue brand's Tag Team Division.
