The odds on favourites aren't that surprising
The odds on favourites aren't that surprising

What's the story?

Elimination Chamber takes place this Sunday night and it will be the final Raw pay-per-view before WrestleMania, so the winners of the Elimination Chamber matches will ensure their place on the card for the biggest event of the year. It seems that the odds-on favourites to withstand the odds inside the steel structure aren't that surprising.

In case you didn't know...

WWE is making a lot of history at Elimination Chamber this year as they present not only the first ever Women's Elimination Chamber match but also the first ever seven-man Elimination Chamber match as well.

It seems that the company are going all out to ensure that Raw's final pay-per-view stop on the road to WrestleMania will be a memorable one since Ronda Rousey will also be in attendance for the event and could begin the build-up for her match at WrestleMania, an event that is now just seven weeks away.

The heart of the matter

Elimination Chamber is now merely days away and it seems that Roman Reigns is the current favourite to defeat the six other man inside the Chamber and go on to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

According to Bet Wrestling, Reigns is a heavy favourite closely followed by Braun Strowman and then Seth Rollins, who was only recently added to the match. The women's match only sees six competitors step inside the structure, but it seems that Alexa Bliss is the favourite to retain the Raw Women's Championship with former Champions Sasha Banks and Bayley close behind.

What's next?

Elimination Chamber takes place this Sunday night live from T-Mobile Arena in the Las Vegas Valley, in Paradise, Nevada. It will be the Raw roster's final stop on the road to WrestleMania.

Author's take

Roman Reigns has been the man rumoured to be facing Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble for almost a year now and it seems that the pieces are finally falling into place. Alexa retaining the title sets up her match with Nia Jax at WrestleMania as well so it seems that the rumoured WrestleMania card could be coming together nicely.
