What’s the story?
Dean Ambrose revealed in a recent interview with The Sun, a scary incident, that if it weren’t for his luck, would’ve not only kept him off Wrestlemania 33, but also probably killed him. Ambrose narrated an incident involving him crashing a bike which saw him go flying about 8-feet up in the air after falling off it.
In case you didn’t know...
Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good), who portrays his on-screen character as that of a wild-card and a risk-taking daredevil, is self-confessedly similar to that in real-life as well.
The 31-year-old WWE Intercontinental champion has a penchant for indulging in high-risk, outdoor activities in his personal life, with mountain biking being at the top of his list.
The heart of the matter
The Lunatic Fringe escaped relatively unscathed after his bike crash and did, in fact, compete at Wrestlemania 33 a few days after the aforementioned accident, successfully defending his Intercontinental strap against Baron Corbin.
“I’m big into mountain biking. I actually crashed my mountain bike about a week ago very badly. I thought I was going to die. I fell over the handlebars, full on ninja roll, I flew like 8 feet into the air.”
“I thought I probably shouldn’t be doing this a week before WrestleMania. You have to immediately get back on. I crashed on a downhill, you have to just continue. If you stop and think about it too long you’ll psych yourself out.”
What’s next?
Dean Ambrose will defend his WWE Intercontinental title against The Miz at the upcoming RAW brand-exclusive Extreme Rules PPV this June 4th.

It goes without saying that good ol’ Deano is… er… one of the more wild, crazy, daredevil, Lunatic Superstars in WWE today!
In all seriousness though, Ambrose is a bonafide wild-man and it’s relieving to hear that he didn’t suffer any serious damage in his accident before Mania. Here’s hoping it’s smooth sailing, or rather should I say riding, for the Intercontinental champion from this point moving forward.
