Cesaro shines at NXT UK TakeOver

WWE star Cesaro currently finds himself in an interesting place on the main roster. The Swiss Cyborg, recognized by WWE fans as one of the most talented in-ring wrestlers in the entire company, is used more as an enhancement talent on main roster television.

Cesaro had a most interesting Labor Day weekend as he competed at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff in a match which many fans described as show-stealing.

The Raw star faced off against NXT UK standout Ilja Dragunov, and despite Dragunov's best efforts in the match, he came upon the losing end of the bout against Cesaro.

"When Dragunov appeared to be going for the Tornado Moscow in the final moments, Cesaro suddenly countered, throwing his opponent into the air and catching him with the uppercut on the way back down before finally finishing him off with the Neutralizer," reads the WWE.com match play-by-play.

Could Cesaro be NXT bound?

Following a very impressive victory at NXT UK TakeOver on Saturday, just two nights later on Monday Night Raw, Cesaro competed in a singles match against The Miz to much less avail. The bout was average, and saw Miz pick up the clean win on his way to facing Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Intercontinental title at Clash of Champions later this month.

One name who would like to see Cesaro return to NXT and potentially become a fixture of the brand, is NXT star Dominik Dijakovic, as he Tweeted the following on Monday.

Triple H noted on his NXT TakeOver Toronto that Cesaro, along with other main roster Superstars, have expressed interesting in working more with NXT, so given The Swiss Cyborg's status on the main roster, a move to NXT when the show debuts on USA Network could become more of a possibility than fans might think.
