What's the story?

Drake Maverick has only been the General Manager of 205 Live for a few weeks, but he has already changed the landscape of the show and helped push forward the ratings, but it seems that he has even more plans for the show in the future.

In case you didn't know...

Maverick was brought in to help boost the Cruiserweight Division after Enzo Amore was released from the company and the Championship was vacated. Over the past few weeks, the tournament to crown a new Champion has seen a number of faces make appearances on NXT including former United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate and Roderick Strong.

Mark Andrews, Buddy Murphy, and Strong have already been confirmed as new recruits on the 205 Live show as the Cruiserweights eagerly anticipate WrestleMania where their new Champion will finally be crowned.

The Division has definitely been boosted since Maverick took over and it was also reported that Triple H has taken over the reins of the show and could be the reason that it has become a must-see show in recent weeks.

The heart of the matter

Drake Maverick is a fantastic figurehead for 205 Live and it seems that he has learned how to use social media to his advantage. Maverick has used Twitter to announce the signings of a number of stars and this week he has used it to tease the fact that there are more to come.

It seems that Maverick is looking to further boost his ranks in the coming weeks and the man he seems to be focused on in these images is NXT's newest recruit Ricochet. The man himself stated that he's looking at Raw, SmackDown and NXT when it comes to adding to his already impressive roster so there could be some impressive names making their way over to 205 Live in the future.

What's next?

The tournament to crown a new Cruiserweight Champion will continue until WrestleMania where the division will then be under new leadership, which could be when new faces could be added to the brand.

Author's take

The Cruiserweight Division has definitely improved over the past few weeks and it seems that the future is definitely looking bright. There are a lot of stars in WWE that could benefit from being moved over to 205 Live and it will be interesting to see who these faces actually are and how they will change the division overall.
