What’s the story?

ahead of her epic clash against Asuka tonight at the TLC pay-per-view, it seems that Emma is feeling pretty confident that she will hand “The Empress of Tomorrow” her very first defeat inside a WWE ring.

In case you didn’t know…

Earlier this year Asuka relinquished her WWE NXT Women’s Championship due to a broken collarbone, ending her reign at 510 days—being the longest reign champion in WWE’s post-national expansion era. On 11th September 2017, it was announced by WWE that Asuka would make her main-roster debut on 22nd October, as part of the Raw brand.

On the other hand, Emma won a fatal-five way on a recent episode of Raw, a few weeks back, to earn herself a chance to face Asuka at this year’s Tables, Ladders, and Chairs PPV.

The heart of the matter

Despite Asuka having an unbeaten streak of 172 matches, Emma seems to be pretty confident about the match, as she took it to Instagram and posted a photo that suggested that Asuka is all set to suffer her first loss at the hands of the Melbourne native.

Emma will go one-on-one with the former NXT Women’s Champion later today, in what will be Asuka’s debut main-roster match.

Both Emma and Asuka have a pretty rich history with each other as well, the two ladies previously faced each other at NXT Takeover: London in December of 2015. But it was Asuka who came out on top when the two ladies locked horns inside the SSE Arena in Wembley two years ago.

What’s next?

With Asuka all set to return to action on Sunday evening at the Target Center, she is once again ready to step into the squared circle as “The Empress of Tomorrow” takes on the very resilient and confident Emma.

Asuka maybe the favourite to win but Emma will give her all when he steps inside the ring with the Japanese superstar one more time in her WWE career.

Author’s take

Personally, I will be rooting for Asuka because I believe there is no reason at all for WWE to break her undefeated streak just within her first match in the main roster.

It is also great to see Asuka returning to the ring within such a short period of time since her injury and hopefully, she puts on a great show for the entire WWE Universe, as well as the fans who will be watching around the world.
