Soon after making her re-debut in the WWE main roster in March 2016, Emma embarked on a feud against the former #1 contender for the Women’s Championship, Becky Lynch. The rivalry started when Emma claimed that Becky took her opportunity to shine and ultimately overshadowed her in the WWE. The two fought each other on multiple occasions and due to this rivalry, WWE Universe witnessed the debut of Dana Brooke, who aligned herself with Emma.
Recently, we have been seeing less of Emma as she is sidelined due to an injury. She suffered a legitimate back injury while working in a live event this month and WWE announced on 16th May that she needs to undergo a surgery.
Her boyfriend, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder noted that she has been doing well. Earlier today, wrestlinginc.com revealed that Emma underwent successful back surgery for a ruptured disc. WWE are yet to release an official update about her condition and when she may be back for in-ring action. But, we have been confirmed that she's in good spirits and resting at home.
