What's the story?
WWE have released some amazing footage of backstage interaction between real-life couple former NXT North American Champion Ricochet and NXT's Kacy Catanzaro where Ricochet was almost brought to tears and it was just the sweetest thing.
In case you didn't know...
Ricochet and Johnny Gargano had an absolute classic at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix for the North American Championship with Ricochet coming up short leading to Gargano picking up his first singles title in WWE.
That wasn't the most emotional thing to happen to Ricochet this weekend though as his real-life partner Kacy Catanzaro made her main roster debut in the Women's Royal Rumble and had an amazing moment on the show!
The heart of the matter
The WWE Performance Centre Twitter released the footage of Ricochet congratulating Cantazaro for her Rumble performance and 'The One and Only' is forced to choke back his emotions towards seeing his one and only (see what I did there) perform.
Catanzaro tells Ricochet she couldn't have done it without him, but he disagrees and tells her that she would've and she could've done it without him. She responded with 'I wouldn't have liked it as much'. It was sweet.
Rhea Rhipley's incredible cameo in this video should not be understated either as the former WWE NXT UK Women's Champion made her feelings about the sweet heart-warming exchange explicitly clear on camera!
What's next?
Ricochet is in a six-man tag-team match taking place during 'Half-Time Heat' with Velveteen Dream and Aleister Black as his tag-team partners against Adam Cole, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
Kacy Catanzaro is still in the early stages of her wrestling career but is clearly coming on leaps and bounds. Expect big things from her down in NXT but for now, there's no clear next step for her!
