What’s the story?

In an interview with The Sun, Enzo Amore asserted that he’d love to see Neville return to in-ring WWE competition.

Additionally, Amore also revealed how hard of a schedule Neville used to work in the WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

Enzo Amore and Neville are close friends in real life, and trained together in FCW and NXT; with the duo also having travelled nationwide after getting their main-roster promotion.

Neville—a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion—was rumoured to have walked away from RAW owing to disagreements with creative on his role in the WWE.

The heart of the matter

Enzo Amore stated the following on wanting Neville back in the WWE—

“Neville is one of my favourite pros in the business (and) he carried NXT with that title and was a tag-team champion there. Then he worked the 205 division with the hardest schedule in silence, he was working Friday, Saturday and Sunday and then Mondays and Tuesdays.

“When guys were catching red-eye flights from the west coast after Raw, Neville was driving on to the next town or taking an early morning flight…It’s the hardest schedule in pro wrestling because you are closing out 205 at the end of the week…I hope Neville comes back and we feud; (and) I have never seen a guy work like he does.”

Furthermore, Amore explained that Neville might move better than anyone else in the ring and is indeed like the ‘Dynamite Kid’. Amore continued that he’s seen Neville put on fantabulous performances time and again, and the Certified-G would love to perform with him.

What’s next?

Enzo Amore returned to in-ring competition at a recent live event, after being on the shelf for a few days owing to the flu.

On the other hand, although Neville has not been officially removed from the WWE’s active roster, professional wrestling experts believe that the former British powerhouse will be leaving WWE and performing for other promotions in 2018.

Author’s take

Enzo Amore is spot-on as regards his assessment of Neville.

Neville is an incredible athlete and deserves to perform in the world’s premier pro-wrestling organization. Here’s hoping, Neville and the WWE management can let bygones be bygones, and have him compete in WWE once again.
