WWE News: Enzo Amore reacts to Cruiserweight title loss

He's n
He's not the champion anymore

What's the story?

Enzo Amore used to be on top of the world and while there's still hope for the New Jersey native to turn things around, he wasn't happy at all after losing his treasured Cruiserweight Championship on Raw.

In case you didn't know...

Big Cass and Enzo Amore were two of the most popular performers in NXT while they were in WWE's developmental territory and they arrived on the main roster to huge merchandise sales and outstanding ovations from audiences all over the world.

But after a string of stories concerning Enzo's backstage behaviour, the general opinion was that he had a lot of backstage heat. These allegations began to blend into storylines, and they were even acknowledged by WWE personalities like Corey Graves and JBL.

The heart of the matter

Kalisto defeated Enzo Amore for his Cruiserweight Championship on Raw this week and, needless to say, the Smack Talker Skywalker wasn't a happy microphone Jedi.

WWE attempted to get a word with the former Cruiserweight Champion and, as you can see, he was in no mood to talk. He threw a lot of blame at Mustafa Ali and the rest of the 205 Live roster for his loss. However, Amore wanted to make it very clear that he was not going anywhere in spite of what the rest of the WWE Cruiserweights thought.

What's next?

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that Enzo Amore will most likely get his beloved Cruiserweight Title back soon enough as they are going "all in" with the New Jersey native. Therefore, this doesn't seem like it will be the end for The Realest Guy In The Room. If anything, it will give him even more motivation to excel in the ring and behind the scenes.

Author's take

I've always been a fan of Enzo Amore's work on the microphone and thought he complimented big men well in a tag team. His work with Big Cass and Big Show was pretty good, but he still needs to win me over entirely as a singles competitor.

But he's well on his way to developing an interesting niche for himself in WWE which could result in a tweener status so that he can be a capitalise on the shades of grey and still sell a ton of merchandise.
