WWE News: Ex-WWE Superstar MVP released from Lucha Underground

Not so valuable

– MVP or Montel Vontavious Porter was a big part of the WWE during the late 2000s. He held various championships and also tagged with legends such as Mark Henry. MVP left the WWE and went on to perform in NJPW where he won the IWGP Intercontinental Championship and was given a lot of time on-air.

He established himself as a credible superstar but soon left the company to wrestle in TNA in 2014. MVP announced that he had signed for Lucha Underground which is fast becoming one of the best wrestling shows around.

MVP announced last week that he had signed with Lucha Underground during WaleMania 2. All of that has gone down the drain now as MVP released a video on YouTube where he said that Lucha Underground had decided to terminate his contract after MVP violated the terms of his deal. MVP had interviewed the cast members for his podcast which violated the non-disclosure agreement.

MVP has taken the full responsibility of the unusual turn of events and has not put the blame on anyone else. It was reported that MVP would be used as an agent after the conclusion of season 2 and would most likely make sporadic appearances for Lucha Underground. This was extremely disappointing for MVP and it looks to be seen where he will end up in the future.
