WWE News: Austin Aries talks about his inspirations, goals, NXT and more

Austin Aries is a six time TNA X-Division Champion and one time TNA World Heavyweight Champion. He is best known for his work in Ring of Honor, where he stole the crowd with his standout performances. He recently signed with NXT and competed at NXT TakeOver: Dallas where he defeated “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin in a tremendous match.

Austin Aries recently talked to the Chicagoland Sports Radio about his inspirations, the amazing matches he had had in his career and the talent present in NXT. He also talked about his first ever WrestleMania week experience and his short term and long term goals. He also talked about working with talented wrestlers like Bobby Roode, Seth Rollins, AJ Styles and more.

Austin Aries told that legends like Four Horsemen, Dusty Rhodes, Eddie Gurerro, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho and Dean Malenko influenced him. Apparently, Austin Aries was a big Crockett wrestling promotion fan. He also talked about his WrestleMania week experience by terming it mind-blowing. He openly admired how big the WWE is and their dedication to put out a show of that magnitude.

When asked about the talents present in NXT or outside WWE whom he would want to wrestle with, Austin Aries replied that there is tremendous amount of talent present in NXT. He named a few of the talents and said that it was very exciting to work with Finn Balor.

When asked about whether he would be wrestling in the WWE Global Cruiserweight Series, he replied in negative stating that the company is looking to showcase unknown talents to the world who has not had such a big exposure. He also expressed his excitement as a fan to see those incredible performers perform.
