WWE News: Explosive altercation takes place at WWE Performance Center

What's the story?

Seven NXT stars have been involved in an altercation at WWE's Performance Center, with a video emerging of the confrontation between Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke, and Mia Yim, Jessie Elaban, Lacey Lane and MJ Jenkins.

In case you didn't know...

In October last year, another brawl broke out at the Performance Center as Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch clashed at WWE's state of the art training facility. Flair had posted on social media that she was going to be at the Performance Center the next day to speak with the female NXT talents, with NXT even tweeting out a photo of Charlotte at the PC - but it all went pear-shaped as Becky Lynch seemingly attacked Charlotte Flair during the visit, with WWE tweeting out the following:

There was a physical altercation between @BeckyLynchWWE and @MsCharlotteWWE at the @WWEPerformCtr yesterday morning. @WWE and #SDLive officials are investigating the matter. pic.twitter.com/q275mHpZNC

The heart of the matter

In a clip released below by WWE, you can see Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke hunting down Mia Yim, Jessie Elaban, Lacey Lane and MJ Jenkins to confront the quartet in one of the WWE Performance Center's locker rooms. The three members of MMA's Four Horsewomen bust in to the scene during a backstage clip, interrupting an interview and saying they "run the locker room" - only for an explosive altercation between the seven WWE Superstars to follow.

What's next?

Well, NXT continues to be incredibly innovative, and this backstage brawl is the epitome of how the brand continues to excite - with three of the Four Horsewomen (minus Ronda Rousey who's on Monday Night Raw) squaring up to four NXT talents backstage, and outwith the linear, weekly NXT broadcast.
