From the WWE Rumour Mill: Fear of Viral Meningitis could change plans for TLC

What
What's going to happen with The Demon and Sister Abigail's match?

What's the story?

Viral meningitis is a pretty serious issue and it might be affecting a couple of members of the Raw roster. Although there's not been any official word from WWE, Bo Dallas has been off television for a bit and so has Bray Wyatt.

The two are brothers in real life leading some to believe that there was a connection there. Dave Meltzer recently spoke about this subject on Wrestling Observer Live where he revealed that both Rotunda brothers might be suffering from some kind of contagious disease.

In case you didn't know...

Viral meningitis is a serious disease. If not treated properly and with correct medical assistance, it could lead to death. Essentially, this contagious disease is swelling of the protective membranes covering a person's brain and spinal cord.

It's an awful disease with symptoms like pain in the back, muscles, or neck. Other symptoms include fever, chills, lethargy, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and blotches. It needs immediate attention or it could get out of hand.

The heart of the matter

There is apparently something going on within WWE right now on the Red Team that could turn into a serious situation.

WWE ring announcer JoJo Offerman is Bray Wyatt's real-life girlfriend and she's been missing from the television as well. Some people were under the fear that JoJo was dealing with an illness. However, her mother recently commented about the situation to dispell these rumors.

Dave Meltzer commented on the situation on Wrestling Observer Live where he said he had heard Bray Wyatt was suffering from some kind of contagious disease although he didn't reveal what it was. When co-host Bryan Alvarez asked Meltzer if he meant Bray Wyatt or Bo Dallas, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter writer replied:

"both, The story that's going around... I haven't heard from WWE, I have asked yeah and I don't know what that means for Sunday (at TLC), yeah I don't really know."

What's next?

It would be lovely if Bray Wyatt was able to get back to ring-shape before TLC, but changes in the event might be in order at this point. It will be interesting to see how WWE handles this change if they must make one.

But above all, let's just hope Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas, and anyone else dealing with meningitis is able to get better in quick form.

Author's take

I hate hearing about this kind of thing. Viral meningitis is no joke and at this point in 2017 no vaccines exist for any enteroviruses including the disease Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas very well could be suffering from.

Of course, there are no official reports. But the fact that reports are leaning toward this situation's legitimacy makes me very worried. All we can do at this point is hope for the best.
