WWE News: Finn Balor and The Miz could be teasing a future WWE feud
What's the story?
Finn Balor and The Miz have crossed paths a number of times over the past year, but it seems that there could be plans for the duo to open another rivalry in the future if their recent twitter war is anything to go by.
In case you didn't know...
The Miz and Finn Balor first came to blows after Finn returned to WWE last year following a lengthy stint on the sidelines after he was injured at SummerSlam back in 2016. Whilst Finn was able to defeat The Miz in their first meeting, interference from Bray Wyatt meant that Finn was pinned by the Intercontinental Champion.
It was a triple threat match between Seth Rollins, Balor, and Miz that later led to a lengthy feud between Balor and Wyatt. It seems that Balor has recently been spending much of his time working with former Bullet Club teammates Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows and a feud with The Miz could lead to a six-man tag situation between The Balor Club and The Miztourage.
The heart of the matter
The Bullet Club defeated Elias and The Miztourage a few weeks ago whilst Miz was still away filming The Marine 6. It seems that following his defeat to John Cena last week on Raw, Balor won't be part of the Elimination Chamber match this year so he has switched his focus to the Intercontinental Championship.
Balor posted the following on Twitter:
The photo shows Miz being kicked in the face and it seems that this was the former Universal Champion's way of calling out the Intercontinental Champion, but he didn't get the reaction he wanted from The Miz.
The Miz definitely didn't mince his words as he referred to the 17-year veteran as a "rookie". Balor has actually been wrestling for longer than The Miz, which means that it should be Finn calling Miz the rookie.
Miz and Balor will be part of Monday Night Raw tonight and could open up a feud heading into Elimination Chamber since Miz defeated Roman Reigns in his rematch last week and both men seemingly need new opponents moving forward.
Finn Balor and The Miz could be an interesting feud. After all, Balor is a former Universal as well as NXT Champion and it's highly unlikely that he will take being called a rookie as a compliment. Both men are without opponents heading into Elimination Chamber in three weeks' time, so this seems that it could be a good feud for both stars.
