Finn Balor's unfortunate injury at SummerSlam came as a big disappointment for all his fans. The only silver lining for all the supporters of the Demon King is that the former NXT star will claim back his rightful spot in the main event of WWE, once he fully recovers.
Now it looks like that Balor himself is as optimistic as his followers, regarding his future in the company. He recently posted a funny photo of himself on Twitter stating that he is getting better every day and will be back for his title very soon:
After being the mainstay of NXT for almost a year, Finn Balor made his main roster debut during the July 14th episode of Raw earlier this year. He quickly climbed the ladder and after winning a couple of high-stakes matches found himself in the race for becoming the WWE Universal Champion.
The former NXT champion continued his impressive journey to SummerSlam as well when he became the first ever WWE Universal Champion by defeating Seth Rollins. However, his dream run came to an abrupt end, as soon as he won his first major title on the main roster
Following the event, Balor learned that he suffered a shoulder injury during his match against Rollins. The injury forced him to relinquish his newly won WWE Universal Championship and has kept the fan-favourite away from ring ever since. You can the highlights of their SummerSlam match below:
His recovery time is estimated to be six months, which means we could see him return sometime in March; just around WrestleMania. Many believe that much will have changed till the first Universal Champion returns to the ring. So he will find it hard to gain the same momentum he had in between his Raw debut and SummerSlam victory
Despite his injury, his supporters are very positive about the future of the former NJPW Star. They believe that Balor will once again emerge as a top star of the company as soon as he returns. Now with the latest tweet, Finn himself has also made it clear that he will be going after the top title of Raw once he comes back.
