WWE News: Former Intercontinental Champion returns to action during this week's Dark Match on Raw
What's the story?
This week's episode on Monday Night Raw witnessed WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and the rest of the McMahon Family shake things up and made sure that it is now the WWE Universe who now get to make all the major decisions.
The Chairman's major decision not only opened up doors for fresh new match-ups which we could possibly witness on Raw but it also does allow several superstars to grab the brass ring and finally earn their moment on the big stage.
Two certain superstars in the form of Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley, who have had very less TV time in 2018 had the chance to showcase their talent prior to the initial broadcasting of Monday Night Raw.
In case you didn't know...
The Hype Bros first made their WWE debut on NXT TV before eventually arriving on SmackDown Live in 2016. On the blue brand, the duo got off to a perfect start and had several notable wins over the rest of the tag division.
However, things quickly fell apart when the duo of Ryder and Rawley started losing matches almost every single week in 2017, leading to the latter turning his back on Zack Ryder.
The heart of the matter
The dark match before this week's episode of Monday Night Raw featured a singles match between two former tag team partners, as former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Zack Ryder faced off against Mojo Rawley.
In 2018, both Ryder and Rawley have the had very little chance to shine on the big stage and therefore took all the advantage of the one opportunity they got on Raw this week. Ryder eventually came out victorious over his former tag team partner in the dark match of this week's episode of Raw.
There was no further dark match following the conclusion of this week's Raw, however, WWE did finish-up the tapings for their upcoming Christmas special episode of Raw, which features several title matches including a title defence from Ronda Rousey who faces her close friend Natalya.
