WWE News: Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley will collide at Clash of Champions

The Hyp
The Hype Bros will finally collide at Clash Of Champions

What's the story?

A few weeks ago Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley went their separate ways after they lost their match to The Bludgeon Brothers and Rawley turned heel by attacking his longtime partner. It seems Ryder will finally get revenge during the Clash Of Champions kickoff show when he goes one-on-one with his former friend for the first time.

In case you didn't know

The Hype Bros have been together since their time in NXT before Ryder was then promoted back to the main roster without Rawley. As part of the 2016 WWE draft last summer, Mojo was a shocking late addition to the SmackDown Live brand and reunited with his former partner.

The Hype Bros looked to be heading towards the tag team champions late last year before Ryder suffered a knee injury and was put on the sidelines for a number of months. This meant Ryder missed WrestleMania 33 where Mojo Rawley was able to win the fourth-annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale.

Ever since Ryder returned in June, the duo hasn't looked as though they were on the same page, so their split in November didn't come as much of a shock.

The heart of the matter

Zack Ryder sent out a challenge to Mojo Rawley earlier today calling for a match at Clash of Champions and it seems Mojo wasn't messing around since he accepted the match and WWE retweeted the tweet making the match official.

Former friends usually make the most bitter enemies so it will be interesting to see how Ryder responds to the fact Rawley ended what was nearly a two-year partnership.

What's next?

It seems this feud between two former teammates could be the only storyline Zack and Mojo have for the next few months and it could also be one that catapults one of the stars into a much bigger feud heading onto the Road To WrestleMania.

Authors take

We've seen this kind of thing before, like when The Prime Time Players broke up and Titus O'Neil then opened up a feud with Darren Young. Their entire rivalry fell flat and it later led to a reunion of the team a year later. Hopefully, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley have better luck with their feud.
