WWE News: Former Universal Champion issues official statement after missing WWE Live Event
What's the story?
Superstars from both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live were present in Buenos Aires, Argentina this weekend as part of WWE's South American Tour, however, one certain superstar who, unfortunately, wasn't able to work WWE's recent Live Event is former Universal Champion, Finn Balor.
In case you didn't know...
Over the course of the past few months, former WWE Universal Champion, Finn Balor has been busy feuding with the likes of standing Raw General Manager Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Drew McIntyre.
Having squared off against both Lashley and Corbin, and also having beaten them comprehensively in the past, Balor's current rivalry with Drew McIntyre has certainly taken a toll within these past few weeks with Balor also recently costing McIntyre his first loss at the hands of Dolph Ziggler on Raw.
The heart of the matter
Finn Balor has been engaged in a heated feud with Drew McIntyre over on Monday Night Raw and earlier in the week, the leader of the Balor Club was seemingly scheduled to compete in Buenos Aires, Argentina, having already competed in Santiago, Chile the night before.
Balor, who was set to face Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat Match, missed the Argentina show and had to skip the night for unknown reasons. The former Universal Champion then took it to his Twitter handle and apologized to the WWE Universe for not being able to compete in Buenos Aires.
Due to Balor's absence, the WWE Universe in Argentina were instead treated to a singles bout between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler.
As of right now, we still don't have any word on why Finn Balor had to miss last night's Argentina house show. However, let us all hope for the best and let us do hope that Balor isn't dealing with any sort of injury because that's the last thing the WWE Universe would want!
After all, Balor is still scheduled to go one-on-one against Drew McIntyre at the upcoming TLC pay-per-view on the 16th of December.
