What's the story?

Alexa Bliss is one of the WWE's top heels. The multi-time women's champion definitely made a mark in her short time on the roster, defeating the likes of Becky Lynch, Bayley, and Sasha Banks for both Raw and SmackDown titles. Though she hasn't wrestled since August, Bliss says she's close to making her return to the ring.

In case you didn't know...

Alexa Bliss hasn't competed in-ring in over five months. Bliss suffered a concussion over the summer of 2018 and apparently reaggravated it after making her in-ring return. Since then, the Goddess has been injected into more of a managerial role. Bliss has joined Mickie James and Alicia Fox, who she'd formed an alliance with earlier in the year.

At WWE Evolution, where she was originally scheduled to face off against Trish Stratus, she instead managed Mickie James and Alicia Fox, who faced Stratus and Lita in a tag team match. By the end of 2018, it seemed that the WWE was planning on putting Bliss in the role of Raw General Manager. With Baron Corbin giving her control over the women's division on Raw, some assumed that she'd be next in line once the Lone Wolf lost his job.

That idea never came to fruition, and Bliss has since been relegated to a talk show host, hosting "Moment of Bliss" on Monday Night Raw.

The heart of the matter

At a recent appearance at the Phoenix Ace Comic-Con, Bliss was asked how she was recovering from her concussion. When asked if she was coming back, Bliss said:

Uh, well...I plan on coming back pretty soon. WWE is very careful when it comes to us with concussions and any injury. We have the best of the best taking care of us, and you have to go through concussion protocol. I've been doing really well. I've been training at the performance center, so there's definitely hope for me getting back in the ring relatively soon.

What's next?

Alexa Bliss seemed to almost reignite her rivalry with Ronda Rousey on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw in the Moment of Bliss segment. While she hasn't had a chance to get physical in a while, we could see Bliss make her return very soon...maybe at the Royal Rumble?
