What's the story?

Goldberg vs. The Undertaker has been announced for the next Saudi Arabia show - WWE Super ShowDown - which will take place on June 7th, 2019.

The general consensus of the WWE Universe isn't that great as the fans would have preferred to watch the said 'dream match' when both the legends were in their respective primes.

Nonetheless, that's what we'd be getting, and the Goldberg has already fired the first shot on Twitter.

In case you didn't know...

WWE dropped the announcement regarding the upcoming Saudi Arabia event a couple of hours ago which also included a partial match card for the show.

Randy Orton will take on Triple H for the first time nine years in a singles match while the routine 50-man Battle Royal was also confirmed.

More matches will be added once Money in the Bank is in the books and an educated guess would be that both Goldberg and Undertaker will make their TV returns for a big face-off on WWE programming after MITB.

It should also be noted that this will be the second edition of WWE Super ShowDown as the first took place in Melbourne, Australia last year.

WWE has signed a massive 10-year deal with the Saudi General Sports Authority which compels them to put on stacked cards with legendary names being involved in the mix.

The heart of the matter

Goldberg reacted to the official announcement of his scheduled match against the Undertaker in his own unmistakable style:

As expected, the reactions from the fans in the comments section of the tweet are mixed in nature. Expect a response from the Deadman as well, who is also on Twitter these days.

What's next?

As Goldberg said it, #Takerisnext! While the match may not excite a section of the fans who have their qualms about the current product, Goldberg taking on Undertaker promises to sell out the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on June 7th, and that's all that matters to Vince McMahon.

Wondering why WWE booked the match between the two veterans? Here are 5 reasons why Vince McMahon decided to have the first-time-ever showdown.
