WWE News: Goldberg to appear on upcoming episode of "The Flash"

What’s the Story?

Former Universal Champion Goldberg will be a guest star in two upcoming episodes of “The Flash”.

In Case You Didn’t Know

Goldberg returned to the WWE in 2016 and defeated Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Goldberg would go on to win the Universal Championship by defeating Kevin Owens and would drop the title to Lesnar in their match at WrestleMania 33.

The Heart of the Matter

Twitter User Asam Shazad retweeted a picture informing fans that Goldberg would be appearing on an upcoming episode of "The Flash." Goldberg responded to Shazad and said that he was taking the role in "The Flash" because of his son.

"The Flash" along with fellow DC Comics TV shows "Legends of Tomorrow," "Supergirl" and "Arrow" are all a part of the DC TV universe referred to as “The Arrowverse” and has already seen guest appearances from former WWE superstars. WWE Hall of Famer Edge appeared on season two of "The Flash" while former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes appeared on Season 5 of "Arrow."

The history of WWE superstars appearing on DC TV Shows dates back to the "Smallville" series. "Smallville" was another DC Comics TV Show based on Superman and featured guest appearances from Kane, Ashley Massaro and Batista.

What’s Next?

The Arrowverse is set to have a series of crossover episodes starting tonight Nov. 27 and will feature crossovers between "Supergirl" and "Arrow." The crossover ends tomorrow Nov. 28 with "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow."

Goldberg said that he would be appearing on two episodes, but the only detail was that it would be an upcoming episode, so it could be any point in the next few weeks.
