What’s the story?

On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Curt Hawkins issued his ‘Open Challenge’ in hopes of breaking his 118-fight losing streak, with said challenge being answered by Braun Strowman.

Although Hawkins hastily retreated upon seeing Strowman, the Monster Among Men caught up with him, in the crowd, and chokeslammed Hawkins through a table near the entrance ramp.

Furthermore, Strowman then threw Hawkins on the stage, and proceeded to sling him over his shoulder and ram him through the LED entrance with a monstrous running powerslam; the result of which can be seen in the graphic photograph showing Hawkins’ bruised back below:

In case you didn’t know…

Curt Hawkins has been accorded a unique gimmick as of late, wherein he simply continues to lose to each and every Superstar he faces.

The man is now on an oddly lengthy losing streak and his losing ways seem to have continued this week as well, albeit outside the ring at the hands of the gigantic Braun Strowman.

The heart of the matter

Braun Strowman answered Hawkins’ Open Challenge this past Monday night on RAW and chased the latter through the stands, as Hawkins tried to escape through the hordes of fans in attendance.

A huge chokeslam on an entrance-side table and a running powerslam on the LED entrance resulted in Hawkins’ back getting seriously bruised and swollen.

What’s next?

As of the time of this writing, it’s unclear whether Hawkins sustained an injury or simply escaped with a few bruises.

Sportskeeda will keep fans updated on his health status as and when the story breaks.

Author’s take

Curt Hawkins is one of the WWE’s most consistent workers. It’s awful to see him receive such as terrible beating and the photo just goes to show the insane risks these performers take for the sake of our entertainment.
