What's the story?
PW Insider reported earlier today, there was an incident between New Japan Star Harry Smith and WWE Hall of Famer Jake 'The Snake' Roberts. Roberts was present at Wrestlecon 2018, where he was signing autographs. According to onlookers, Harry Smith walked up to him, and without saying a word, threw a cup of hot coffee in the face of the wrestling legend.

At the time of reporting it was unclear as to why Smith threw coffee at Roberts, but WrestleZone recently talked to Smith who revealed his reasons.
In case you didn't know...
Harry Smith worked in WWE as Davey Boy Smith Jr, where he teamed up with Tyson Kidd to found the Hart Dynasty. Smith's father was WWE wrestling legend, the British Bulldog.
During his time in the Hart Dynasty, Smith was able to win the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships. After they lost the Tag Team Titles, the team fell apart and Smith and Kidd went their separate ways. Smith saw that he was being restricted to a low position on the card and left the company to wrestle in Japan.
The heart of the matter
WrestleZone spoke to Harry Smith about his actions with regards to Jake Roberts. Smith revealed that he had confronted Jake Roberts to ask for an apology on behalf of his father, The British Bulldog. According to Smith, Roberts had made 'disparaging comments' about the British Bulldog during appearances on various podcasts.
He said that Roberts refused to have the conversation with him, and when he asked him to step outside and settle their issues with a fight, Roberts swore at him, telling him to 'f*** off'.
Harry then threw the coffee at Roberts after which Roberts' daughter became aggressive and wanted to fight him. Smith said that the father and daughter were both behaving 'inappropriately' and that they were looking to 'start a scene'.
Harry went on to reveal that he had further issues with Roberts, as the Hall of Famer had apparently offered him drugs during the 2012 WrestleCon.
What's next?
So far it looks like there will be no repercussions for the actions of Smith. Jake Roberts is yet to react to the incident.

The incident turned ugly where a simple conversation could have solved the issue. Harry Smith is obviously sensitive regarding it as it has to do with the honour of his late father, and Jake Roberts is not known for being the most level-headed individual.
