What's the story?

Following tonight's episode of WWE NXT, another big title match has been made official for the upcoming and first NXT TakeOver of 2019, TakeOver: Phoenix.

In case you didn't know...

NXT TakeOver: Phoenix will be the very first NXT TakeOver show of 2019, and will be the 24th show taking place under the NXT TakeOver banner. NXT is currently coming off an all-time high, following the success of NXT TakeOver: WarGames, and so far TakeOver: Phoenix also is shaping out as another solid match card.

A highly awaited rematch between former NXT Champion, Aleister Black, and champion Tommaso Ciampa has been confirmed for the NXT title, and another exciting title match has also been confirmed following tonight's episode of WWE NXT.

The heart of the matter

NXT upstart, Bianca Belair, will finally receive her first shot at the NXT Women's Championship, following her massive #1 contenders' Fatal 4-way victory on tonight's episode of NXT against Io Shirai, Lacey Evans, and Mia Yim.

Belair, who has been looking for a title shot for the past several weeks, now will finally get her chance to capture her first title in NXT, as she prepares to go one-on-one against 'The Queen of Spades' Shayna Baszler, who won the NXT Women's title from Kairi Sane at the inaugural Evolution pay-per-view, and became the first ever two-time NXT Women's Champion.

What's next?

With Bianca Belair's win on tonight's edition of NXT, the second title match for TakeOver: Phoenix has been confirmed, and below is the updated card for the show:

Tommaso Ciampa vs Aleister Black - NXT Championship

Shayna Baszler vs Bianca Belair - NXT Women's Championship

NXT TakeOver: Phoenix takes place on 26 January 2019 at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, and the show definitely promises to be a good one, given the card NXT has lined up thus far. Expect a few more title matches to be confirmed for the event in the coming weeks.
