WWE News: Hype Bros breakup as Mojo Rawley turns heel

As the WWE tweeted - The Hype Bros have just become Hype Foes
The Hype Bros have seemingly broken up after their latest defeat

What's the story?

After being teased for months, the team of Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley, otherwise known as The Hype Bros, finally broke up when Mojo Rawley turned on his long-time tag-team partner Zack Ryder, following another loss to the newly repackaged Bludgeon Brothers.

In case you didn't know...

The Hype Bros had been on somewhat of a downward spiral on SmackDown, as they were once competing for the tag-team titles but were recently struggling to get a win against anyone, losing to Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin, and The Bludgeon Brothers, whom Zack Ryder personally challenged in an attempt to turn things around.

In their first collision, the Bludgeon Brothers steamrolled The Hype Bros, singling out Mojo Rawley for their devastating finisher and picking up a decisive squash match victory, leading to a heated backstage argument between the two Hype Bros teammates.

The heart of the matter

This week, it was Zack Ryder who was left to withstand the full force of the Bludgeon Brothers, and he fared just as well as Rawley did, eating a pin within seconds.

After the match, Ryder tried to rally the team yet again, but Rawley had had enough, turning on his partner by attacking him from behind, and screaming that the Hype Bros were dead.

What's next?

I guess it's time for the classic former tag-team partners feud in a vicious battle storyline that proceeds the breaking up of every tag-team, especially as one of them, Mojo Rawley, turned heel in the process and attacked Zack Ryder.

Author's take

I've always been a fan of Zack Ryder since he got himself over with his YouTube channel and won the Intercontinental Title and I've been pulling for him to be taken semi-seriously again ever since. The same cannot be said for Rawley, although a heel turn could do wonders for him.
