In case you didn’t know…

Nia Jax has had a history of wrestling in short squash matches in WWE and this week’s episode of Raw was no different, as the 33-year-old defeated her opponent Vanessa Floyd in one minute.

After tossing around Vanessa for a while, Jax decided to hit her signature Leg Drop for the win.

The heart of the matter

Nia Jax’s opponent from this week's episode of Raw, Vanessa Floyd, is actually a local competitor from St. Louis who originally goes by tname of Savanna Stone in the independent scene.

At 17 years of age, Stone currently holds the Zero-1 USA Women’s Championship and is the youngest champion in Zero-1 history.

In addition to that, Savanna Stone is also a high school student and has been trained under the guidance of current NJPW superstar and former IWGP Intercontinental Champion Michael Elgin, in his Glory Pro Wrestling School.

What’s next?

Savanna Stone’s WWE debut certainly could have gone a lot better and was definitely not what she wanted.

However, as we have seen in the past, the likes of Jeff Hardy, Dean Ambrose, Razor Ramon, and AJ Styles are some of the biggest names in the history of Pro Wrestling who competed in a WWE ring for the first time as lesser-known enhancement talent before eventually making a name for themselves in the company.

Maybe Savanna Stone could also follow that same path and eventually make a name for herself.

Stone is currently working for numerous Independent promotions and was also recently booked by the National Wrasslin’ League, this past January.

Author’s take

Making a debut for WWE at the age of 17 is truly a huge achievement, regardless of the eventual outcome.

Savanna Stone should really be proud of the fact that she has stepped into a WWE ring at such a young stage in her wrestling career.
