What’s the story?

SmackDown Live Superstar Samir Singh has taken to social media to provide an update on his in-ring return status.

Giving the WWE Universe a sneak peek into his rehabilitation routine, Singh, who previously asserted that he’s learning to walk again, also posted an inspirational message to go with his video.

In case you didn’t know…

The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil) performed on the WWE’s NXT brand as Harv and Gurv Sihra respectively from 2016-17.

They received a main roster call-up last year, and were booked as Jinder Mahal’s allies on SmackDown Live, billed as Samir Singh and Sunil Singh. Samir sustained a torn ACL during a segment that saw him brawl with Bobby Roode, during the latter’s match against Jinder Mahal.

The heart of the matter

Singh's injury transpired on the January 16th, 2018 edition of SmackDown Live, and most experts believed that Samir Singh could miss out on at least 6-9 months of action due to the torn ACL.

Nevertheless, Singh seems to be well on the road to recovery, as evident by his social media update, which shows him engaging in an intense knee rehabilitation routine.

What’s next?

Per general medical guidelines, the very fact that Samir Singh is capable of walking this soon after the injury, indicates that he’s indeed recovering well.

Fans can expect Samir Singh to return between June to September of this year, and reassume his position as a part of Jinder Mahal’s posse.

Author’s take

Samir, much like his brother Sunil, is widely respected for his ability to sell moves in the ring and The Singh Brothers could very well go on to achieve big things in the WWE.

Samir Singh’s injury was a freak occurrence, as he’s incredibly deft at taking bumps in most of his performances.

Sportskeeda wishes Samir Singh a safe and speedy recovery.
