What's the story?

The world of wrestling was shocked when Jeff Jarrett was recently announced as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. While he was an integral part of WWE and WCW in the 90s, he became known for being the man behind TNA!

Jeff Jarrett was backstage at Nashville, TN for the latest edition of SmackDown Live, and WWE posted a video of him catching up with his old friends at the event. They even uploaded another video of Jarrett saying how he felt about returning to WWE after 19 years.

In case you didn't know...

Jeff Jarrett comes from a family that has been ingrained in the history of professional wrestling. He rose to prominence on WWE television, playing a heel country singer.

He was the top guy towards the end of WCW's existence, feuding with some of the biggest names in the promotion. Since WCW shut down, Jarrett has primarily been associated with TNA and later with GFW.

The heart of the matter

In the first video, we see Jarrett clasp hands with AJ Styles, who was the face of TNA for very, many years. He also catches up with Michael PS Hayes and others in the SmackDown Live locker room. Styles has gone on record to say how instrumental Jarrett was, for his career. It is clear he still holds Jarrett in very high regard.

In the second video, Jarrett is taken in by the sight of the set for SmackDown Live. Jarrett recalls how he was involved with the earliest days of SmackDown during the video.

What's next?

Jarrett will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, to kick off WrestleMania 34 weekend. We wonder if there will be a rendition of 'With My Baby Tonight'. He's also been confirmed for an episode of Table for 3, streaming on the WWE Network.

Author's take

I have often been accused of being too much of a Jeff Jarrett guy, by all my fellow Sportskeeda colleagues. The fact of the matter is that he's possibly the nicest, most courteous person you could meet in all of wrestling.

I'm so glad to see Jarrett go into the Hall of Fame!
